Story

Penderfynnodd Colin Harding ei fod am seiclo i'r Eisteddfod 2019 arol clywed trefnydd yr Eisteddfod ar Radio Cymru blwyddyn diwethaf yn annog pobl i seiclo i Steddfod Llanrwst yn dilyn llwyddiant Geraint Thomas yn Tour de France.

Erbyn hyn mae yna 15 o ddynion am seiclo o Fachynlleth i'r Eisteddfod yn Llanrwst  ac am gwneud hyn i godi arian at "Prostate Cymru" ac i godi ymwybyddiaeth o afiechydon prostate. Mi fydd y daith yn un hir ac anodd gan bod yna tua 53 milltir yw gyflawni.

Caiff canser y brostad effaith ar 1 ymhob 8 Cymro ac mae’r risg yn cynyddu i 1 ymhob 3 os oes hanes teuluol o’r cyflwr. Mae canran uchel o ddynion yn gweld hyn anodd siarad am faterion personol yn enwedig ynglyn ai iechyd, felly mae'n amser torri lawr y tabŵ a siarad yn agored am ein iechyd!

Diolch yn fawr iawn am unrhyw gyfraniad chi am rhoi tuag at yr achos da yma.

Colin Harding (my husband) decided that he wanted to cycle to the Eisteddfod after listening to the Eisteddfod organiser last year on Radio Cymru urging people to cycle to Llanrwst following the success of Geraint Thomas at Tour de France.

There are now 15 men who will cycle from Machynlleth to the Eisteddfod in Llanrwst to raise money for "Prostate Wales" and
raise awareness of prostate diseases. The route will be long and hard and will be an
approximate 53 miles.

Prostate cancer affects 1 in 8 men in Wales and the risk increases to 1 in 3 if there is a family history of the disease. A high percentage of men find it difficult to talk about personal issues especially regarding their health, therefore its time to break down the taboo and talk openly about our health!

Thank you very much for any donation that you are able to give this worthy cause.
