Story

Cheers, potential sponsor!

We're the newly-formed Bolton Bikes & Beers Club who have come together through our love of cycling & drinking beers along the way. We are six strong going into this event... you might just know one of us: John Palowski, Stephen Thompson, Greg Smith, Kristen Walkington-Peak, John Ball & Paul Lewis.

For some of us this will be our first cycling event & many of us will be competing on the back of a string of weekends consisting of summer festivals / weddings / birthday celebrations & trips abroad – so although 60 miles doesn't sound like the most tricky cycling event in the world – our 30-year-old-plus bodies will most certainly be telling us otherwise on the day.

That, in essence, is the spirit of our club :)

Now for the blurby online charity donation bit...

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So if you haven't already sponsored every other bugger in your Facebook friends list for other charity events this year – and you have a spare bit of holiday savings to spare (do you really need those second pair of Ray Bans??) – then drop a few quid into the 'e-bucket' to motivate us on our ride for The Christie Charity – who are undeniably brill!

Cheers everyone for your kind support :)
