Story
On 16th September 2018 Myself and two friends will be attempting an endurance swim, crossing the Bonifacio Strait.
Its a 15km swim from the Corsica to Sardinia. A stretch of the mediterraneen linking the two islands.
The straits are notorious among sailors for its weather conditions and can become quite rough, so ships carrying hazardous cargos are not allowed to travel. The straits are watched by both French and Italian authorities / coastguards so we have had to gain permission to swim.
It seems only 33 people have completed this swim which begs the question why!!... so its a massive challenge.
Apart from the weather conditions the nasty things we may encounter are unlikely to be sharks just the purple jellyfish!!
To reach our destination for the swim we will be cycling 200km from the East of Sardinia to the West and then up to the most Northern point.
