11km by the end of May! · 29 May 2021

The National Literacy Trust aims to create a society in which everyone has the reading, writing, speaking and listening skills that they need to fulfil their own and, ultimately, the nation’s potential.

Story

My name is Georgia, I just turned 11 and I have loved reading for as long as I can remember. I am often nicked named the book dragon because I am not a worm and have easily read over 500 books.

Reading has fuelled my dreams and imagination forever and I want to live in a world where everyone has access to books and can be inspired just as I have.

That is why I have decided to train with my mum to run a 11km distance run for the National Literacy Trust

Every penny will make a big difference to disadvantaged children who need support.

I started running at the end of December 2020 and have worked up to running 5km twice a week since then. As I turn 11 this year I want to run further than mum or dad ever have and run a 11km before the end of May.

Every time I train, I will recommend a book that has inspired me this year to push on and achieve more! The more I train the more recommendations I will make :)

Thank you for taking the time to read this, it would mean the world if you could donate what you can or share my quest to spread the joy of reading with your friends and family.

Love the Book Dragon x
