The Bookends Wing Walk · 29 June 2022

Zoë's Place provides 24-hour palliative, respite and end-of-life care to infants aged 0-5 years with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions. We provide short-term regular care with our dedicated nursing staff, in a home from home environment to give parents and carers a well deserved break.

Story

Bernard Foad and Doug Squires are affectionally known as "Bookends" by Doug's wife Andree on account of our common stature! They recently threw ourselves off a mountain in North Wales suspended on what felt like a piece of piano wire and having survived that decided they needed another challenge!

So, on June 29th they are both going Wing Walking; basically they will be strapped to the upper wing of a biplane whilst it thunders across the skies and tries to throw them off by doing aerobatics!!

OK, it sounds mad, but this time they plan to do it to raise money for Zoe's Place Baby Hospice - so, not surprisingly, they are looking for support and donations; everything collected will be put to support a very good cause and so they would ask for any help you might feel able to give.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
