Story

Today should have been the London Marathon - an event that raises many millions for British charities. Fundraising for these organisations has been hit very hard by the COVID-19 pandemic.

We are going to complete a marathon of our own to mark the day, as part of the 2.6 Challenge. The boys and I are going to read 26 picture books together - one for each mile - to raise funds for BookTrust. We have chosen this charity because we believe reading and literacy is fundamental to a good start in life, not to mention a joy at a time when we are stuck indoors. We want every child to have the same chance to enjoy a book.

To make the challenge interesting, we have chosen books for each of the 26 letters of the alphabet. I'll share the list on our blog and our social media. Thank you for supporting our mini marathon at home.
