Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit the 'Bootham School Charities' JustGiving page.

This term we will be raising money for the wonderful York-based charity The Island.

The Island provides mentoring for vulnerable children and young people. The charity works to build confidence, self-esteem and unlock potential through positive
mentoring relationships and personalised programmes.


UPCOMING EVENTS: 

Friday 4th December, 7pm: The Grand Christmas Concert, including music performed by: The String Ensemble, College Brass, College Orchestra, Seniors Girls Choir, Senior Orchestra, College Flutes and much more

Sunday 6th December, 3pm: Carols by Candlelight with the Bootham School Association. Our annual meeting for worship with readings, music and carols to join in with at home.

The Charity Committee would like to invite you all to take part in a 'Christmas Jumper' themed non-uniform day on Wednesday 9th December.  Bootham's Christmas Day! You are encouraged to come to school wearing your favourite festive clothes (though any home clothes are fine too!) in return for a £1 donation.

The Island, York is a charity that supports vulnerable and disadvantaged children and young people in our City through one-to-one mentoring, youth groups, private tuition and counselling as well as running a food bank distributing essential supplies to families we suppoet.
