The Oxygen One Big Weekend is a physical, mental and spiritual adventure for young people from across Kingston Borough. Taking place on May 1st -3rd, it is a weekend residential organised by Oxygen, but open to youth and community groups from across the area. It comprises of a range of challenges and team games designed to test and stretch young people, encouraging them to learn more about themselves and hope they can learn to live better together.
The Oxygen Boroughthon is a chance to raise money to support this weekend away. Taking place on Saturday April 4th 2009, it a sponsored challenge whereby Oxygen workers, volunteers and friends aim to walk to everyone of the Oxygen projects in just 7 hours. To achieve this they will need to cover around 20 miles come rain or shine and will endure blisters, tiredness and angry road drivers!
However they head out on this walk knowing that all monies raised from 2009’s Boroughthon will go towards subsidising places at the One Big Weekend for young people who need it most. So please consider sponsoring us as we take on our own physical challenge in order to do the same for Kingston’s young people.
