Hello everyone,
I am competing in the 2010 British 10K London Run on the 11th of July aiming to raise funds to support the charity Change of Scene

Change of Scene is a charity set up to provide respite for disadvantaged children and young people
Our aim is that each child who visits Change of Scene will:
Care and be cared for, be valued and know self worth, replace negativity with positivity, gain strength through nature, have fun and be carefree, create a happy memory that can never be taken away
Change of Scene has the greatest beneficial effect when children are able to return on a regular basis, in a one-to-one relationship, because it takes time to redress the disadvantage that they have generally experienced over a protracted period of time. When with us they experience the vagaries of the different seasons, see how life is cyclical, how both good & bad comes & goes; establish routines, adopt responsibilities, gain confidence, influence outcomes, learn trust, gain personal satisfaction from being persistent and, as a result of overcoming difficulties, ultimately gain a belief that it is exciting, not frightening, to face new situations and challenges.
