Three Peaks Challenge · 8 June 2018

The Dorset Cancer Care Foundation was established to provide financial support and aid to Dorset residents and their families who are affected by cancer.

Story

On 8th June, eight Bourne employees (Maria Hardy, Chris Moore, Beth Romans, Jon Piggott, Nikki Barlow, Ben Laybourne, Aaron Staples and David Lindsay) will be taking on the three highest peaks in England, Scotland and Wales to raise money for the Dorset Cancer Care Foundation.

Considered one of Britain’s toughest outdoor challenges, the 3 Peaks Challenge takes in the dizzy heights of Ben Nevis (1,344m), Scafell Pike (978m) and Snowdon (1,085m).

With the help of two designated drivers (Craig Galway and Nick Hayes), the team will first need to travel 566 miles from the Bourne HQ in Poole to Fort William where the challenge will begin. Then over the course of 24 hours, they will trek 26 miles and ascend to a total height of almost 3,000m.

This is a serious and tough challenge which requires a good level of fitness, as well as plenty of grit and determination. So please support us if you can by donating with any amount, however small, so we can hit our target.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
