The Big Bathe for Bowel Cancer UK · 10 July 2022

We’re the UK’s leading bowel cancer charity. We’re determined to save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer. Our vision is a future where nobody dies of the disease.

Story

Victoria Hall, 33 year old stage 4 Bowel Cancer patient, has organised a mass swim on the beautiful beach of West Wittering on dawn of the 10th July 22. The aim is to have as many swimmers in the water as we can (750m or 1.5km, race or leisure!) and raise as much sponsorship and awareness as we can as one mass team. Victoria and her family and friends are so hugely grateful for the support. She is now on her third line of treatment to try and keep her tumours at bay, and while spending a lot of time in hospital she is mostly life to the absolute full and hopes to be taking part at the very least cheering from a paddle board if not able to take part in the swim itselfv!vA huge thank you for everyone who is taking part. Swimming in open water is no easy feat! We are all so grateful for all the extremely generous sponsorship we are getting which directly helps to save lives. Dame Deborah James has already done so much in this regard, and we shall continue carrying the beacon of hope which she lit. P.s please follow the Big Bathe on Instagram for our progress and pics!
