Boxford Village Hall is a modern flexible space for the use of the local community, with stunning views across the Lambourn Valley towards Boxford House and Hoar Hill. The Hall is virtually carbon-neutral with solar panels for electricity and a ground-source heat pump for hot water and heating.

Story

With Boxford Village Hall and Rec now well established as the hub of the village's sporting and social activities and in daily use, hosting everything from Insanity exercise classes to Ballroom dancing and community cricket for our increasingly ageing population, Peter and a group of friends from the village, led by Nadège Fleming and Andrew Leader,  are undertaking the Gibbet Challenge on 11th September to raise funds to obtain a Defibrillator for the village Hall and the necessary training.

The Gibbet Challenge is an extremely demanding run over 10k+ which involves running up and down the notorious Walbury Hill twice, taking in the aptly named Gallows Down and is not for the feint hearted. The day will also include an alternative walk which will be equally demanding.

We would be very grateful if you felt able to support Peter and his friends in this community project
