We have come together as two teams, bpsuperheros and bpwonderwheelers, to take part in the 2020 at home edition of Winter Wonderwheels event in support of the Superhero Sport Foundation. Every year the Foundation runs a winter and summer event (Superheros' Triathlon). This year, like everything else, those events have evolved into virtual events and following on from the SUPER success of the summer challenge, we have the #athomeWinterWonderwheels. 

The Superhero Sport Foundation was set up by Sophia Warner, a mum, a Paralympian and a huge lover of sport. As an elite athlete she was very fortunate to be given access to a whole world of sporting opportunities. But as any everyday person with a disability looking to do sports events for fun she's found it a real struggle. And so she set up the Foundation with the goal of bringing families, friends, everyone together to participate in events which include everyone, so that those with any disability feel part of the majority.  

The Superhero Series are those events. It’s big. It’s bold. It’s gutsy. It’s the UK’s one and only disability sports series for the Everyday Superhero! The mission is simple: to create fun, full-throttle mass-participation sports events where people with disabilities – AKA Everyday Superheroes – call the shots and don’t have to worry about cut-off times or equipment restrictions'
