Story
In September 2024, we lost a baby boy at 16 weeks.
In the months that followed, I felt lost in a way I hadn’t expected. I didn’t know how to process what had happened, the anger I felt or how I'd ever move forward.
Pregnancy Crisis Care (PCC) in Plymouth provides specialist counselling and emotional support for women experiencing pregnancy loss. They offer one-to-one sessions in a safe, confidential space, helping women work through grief, trauma and the complex emotions that can follow miscarriage or baby loss. They also support women through the intense anxiety that often comes with subsequent pregnancies, walking alongside them during what can feel like a very fragile time.
Recommended by local healthcare professionals, PCC fills a vital gap in care for families at their most vulnerable. Despite this, they receive no financial support from local healthcare services and rely entirely on donations to continue their work.
They gave me time, compassion and understanding when I needed it most. When we felt able to try again, they supported me through every anxious milestone. After our second loss, the grief was still immense, but because of PCC, I felt better equipped to cope.
PCC is a lifeline for women navigating the trauma of pregnancy loss and the fear that can follow. Their work truly changes lives.
Please help ensure they can continue to be there for families like mine.
