Story
Not many people know this, but I've struggled with my mental health my whole adult life. I'm happy to report I am in a much better place now, but around 5 years ago I was referred to The Listening Place, and I honestly don't know if I'd be here today without their support.
The Listening Place offers completely free, face-to-face support for people with suicidal thoughts. No waiting lists, no time limits - just consistent, non-judgmental care when someone needs it most. They gave me a safe space to be heard when I desperately needed it, and they continue to do that for so many others.
I am absolutely not a natural-born runner, so completing the 13.1 miles is going to be a serious challenge for me. There will definitely be moments where I question all my life choices. But honestly? It's nothing compared to what people in crisis face every day, and if a bit of suffering on my part can help The Listening Place provide for others what they gave me, I'm all in.
Every donation, no matter how small, helps them continue this vital work. If you can spare anything to support them, it would genuinely mean the world to me.
