Story
In June I am taking part in Endure24 - a 24 hour event where you complete as many laps as possible of a 5-mile route - in aid of Sport in Mind.
Since 2010, Sport in Mind has been a leading mental health charity operating in England and Wales with the aim of using sports to help with mental health. The charity have also done amazing work reducing the barriers of entry to sport for people who are having a hard time and are particularly present in my local area.
Because I apparently didn’t think a 24 hour endurance event was hard enough (or more likely as I couldn’t find anyone crazy enough to do this with me) I will be going it alone, battling through the lowest lows and the highest highs, throughout the 24 hours with only a sleeping bag and a tent to rest in! I aim to complete 10 laps as a minimum (50 miles) but will push on as far as I can with the promise of a fun coloured T-shirt if you reach further milestones driving me on!
I really appreciate any support you can give to help Sport in Mind continue their incredible work and if you are able to donate it also gives you the added perk of having my full blessing to tell me to stop complaining about how much my knees hurt after this!
