As you, my friends, know, I was diagnosed with breast cancer in August 2024. I was incredibly lucky to be treated at the Chartwell Unit in the Princes Royal University Hospital in Bromley. I had surgery within four weeks, then chemo and radiotherapy over the following months. I was treated with such great care and kindness by all the nurses, doctors and staff at the trust, and when I go back it is like meeting old friends. The fact that I am able to plan a 10k run now is in no small measure down to them. I cannot thank them enough, and I am proud to do my bit for the Chartwell Trust who supports the work of the unit.
