Being diagnosed with a terminal illness can turn your world upside down. We're here to help people make the most of the time they have left, and provide expert care so that they can die with dignity. Your donation today will help us to be here for people in East London when they need us.

Story

Hello I am Aaron, I was born and bred in Hackney and this year I am running the Hackney half to raise money for St Joseph's hospice and to remember my mother who sadly passed away at Christmas 2021.

The team at St Joseph's delivered palliative care to my mother to ensure her comfort in her final days and also provided mental health support in the months after her passing.

It would mean the world to me if you could support, either through a donation, coming out to see me run or by sending a word or two of support!

Thanks for reading!

A bit about The hospice:

St Joseph’s Hospice opened in Hackney in 1905, and since then has been caring for and supporting people affected by serious illness in eight London boroughs. The team work to improve the quality of life of more than 2,100 patients with life-limiting conditions each year, helping them live life to the full, to the very last.

The they have to raise £16,000 each day to keep their vital services running and available to the 2.2 million people in our diverse community, so every penny raised for our hospice is really important, and very much appreciated.
