Over the last few years so many wonderful people in both my private and working life have been affected by Cancer. There have been amazing stories of resilience and courage from the individuals themselves as well as the families around them living with Cancer and the truly humbling selfless work of all the carers and specialists to ensure the best treatments are administered in the most dignified & comfortable way.

We all feel a little helpless when such news is shared but the continued work of research & medical teams has transformed Cancer treatment over the last few decades. This is only possible by raising huge amounts of funding and i feel it is time i added just a small token sum.

So to the challenge ahead .......Running is one real passion of mine as it has provided the platform for me to cope with the daily pressures of life and maintain a reasonably healthy lifestyle so it only seemed fitting to choose an event requiring mental strength and resilience to complete.

So I have entered Race To The Kings which is 100km in a single run across the West Sussex Countryside which i think fits the bill ! :)

Any support you can offer would be gratefully received and i will be providing regular updates as the training ramps up to the big day in June.
