Story
This year, I’ll be running my first official half marathon (that's 13.1 miles of questioning my life choices). I have decided to raise money for a cause that means so much to me and to so many others, Cancer Research UK.
Cancer is something that has touched my own personal life, and through my work I have cared for patients whose lives have been changed by it. It’s a word that can alter so many lives in an instant, not just the person diagnosed, but their families and friends too. Watching someone you love go through cancer changes your perspective completely. Sadly, many more of us will continue to be affected by it but with the work Cancer Research UK does, in the future less of us may be affected.
That’s why I wanted to do something that pushes me out of my comfort zone, while supporting a cause I truly believe is making a real difference; both visibly and behind the scenes through ongoing research.
Cancer Research UK funds vital research to help prevent, diagnose and treat cancer. Every donation helps support the groundbreaking work happening right now, as well as future research that can prolong lives and gives people more precious time with those they love.
I would be incredibly grateful if you could help me reach (or beat) my target by donating any amount that you can (no matter how small or big). Every pound helps fund research that brings hope, new treatments and more time for families to be together. If you can’t donate, sharing this page would mean so much.
Thank you so much for your support. I’ll be thinking of everyone who has supported me when it gets hard ❤️
