I am preparing to run my first-ever half marathon, a personal milestone that means a lot to me. As I take on this challenge, I wanted to dedicate the journey to a cause that I have been connected to for over a decade and deeply care about: youth empowerment.

Every young person -- regardless of their background or living situation -- deserves the opportunity to enjoy life, feel safe, and learn through play, creativity, and meaningful experiences. That belief is exactly what BGC Ottawa stands for. They provide thousands of children and youth with a safe, positive space between the challenges of home and school. These experiences help build their skills and confidence and prepare them for a better life in future.
