Story

Thank you for getting to my page. Two years ago I was admitted to hospital with a severe blood infection that, combined with significant complications left me facing a very uncertain future. The care I received was second to none and the medical and support staff plotted a journey through my illness that coupled with my dammed determination eventually saw me discharged after 3 months. I was weak, unable to build muscle and on significant medication. I vowed once I was back on the go I’d run a half marathon for this great charity and superb people. I have run many distance races before, but the 2 years of build up for this event have been more difficult given my starting point; however,

I’m ready to take to the starting line and try and help in a little way.

I know too well that times are tricky but please please try and find a donation however small. I will be forever grateful to my friends in the Oxford Hospitals-thank you!
