Story
I’m running the Rocky Mountain Half Marathon and registered for a charity bib to raise money in support of PawsCo — a Denver-based rescue that gives vulnerable animals the opportunity to thrive.
PawsCo operates without a physical shelter, relying instead on a network of foster homes throughout the Denver metro area and across Colorado to support adoptions, fostering, and rehabilitation.
I’ve adopted every animal I’ve had, so I’ve always been aware of how much has to go right for a fur baby to end up in a safe, loving home — and how much rescues like this make that possible.
It’s easy to forget how many animals never get that chance — and how much of a difference it makes when they do.
I’m working toward a goal of raising $1,000 before race day.
If you’re able to contribute, even a small amount helps give an animal the time and care it needs to find its way home.
