Most people know me as a cyclist but as part of my journey towards "semi-retirement" and keeping the brain cells active, I am reinventing myself as a runner which is much harder work!

To give me a challenge, I have signed up for the Hackney Half Marathon, raising money for Alzheimer's Research UK which is appropriate for my stage in life but hope that I am not affected by it.

Every 3 minutes dementia steals a "happily ever after". Research is the only chance of changing the ending for people affected by dementia.
