Homelessness isn’t just someone else’s problem — it’s something that can affect anyone, and it’s getting worse. Shelter does incredible work supporting people facing housing insecurity and fighting for better policies across the UK.

I picked Shelter because I think it’s easy to forget how many people are living without that basic sense of security, and it shouldn’t be something anyone has to go through alone.

21.1 kilometres is going to hurt (a lot), but it’s nothing compared to what so many people are dealing with every day. Shelter helps with emergency support, legal advice, and campaigning to fix the bigger picture.

Even a couple of pounds can make a difference — and keep me motivated when I inevitably question my life choices around kilometre 16…
