The team is just about to set off for Bristol! Thanks to everyone for there donations! Keep donating and let's make a difference to those amazing kids at Brainwave!

We believe if your going to ask for charity sponsorship it should be for a worthy cause (we’ve got that), and it should be a challenge not something to be of complete self enjoyment.

With that in mind we’d like to introduce you to the Challenge; to Kayak in four boats of two across almost the width of the England. From Bristol to Bishops Stortford in 4 Days! The challenge will take place from the 30th May to the 2nd June this year.

The River Avon, The Kennet and Avon Canal, The River Kennet, The River Thames, The Grand Union Canal, The River Lee and finally The River Stort.

That’s 250 miles, 5 Rivers, 2 Canals, 156 Lochs, 145 feet rise and fall, and 2 1000+ yard Victorian canal tunnels in 4 Days.

To put that into perspective, every year since 1948 a race is held along a section of our intended route, “The Devizes to Westminster” international canoe marathon. This 125 mile race has included such competitors as Double Olympic gold medal rower James Cracknell, Rebecca Stevens, the first women to climb Everest solo and was described by Sir Ranulph Fiennes as “To complete the Devizes to Westminster, you need the speed of a race horse, the stamina of a carthorse and the brains of a rocking horse!”

Bristol to Bishops Stortford is Double the Distance in Double the time usually taken to complete the Devizes to Westminster.
