UPDATE: ALL CLEAR – CANCER FREE

BUT MACMILLAN STILL NEED YOUR MONEY…

In January 2015, I was diagnosed with a very common
type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma but, it was uncommonly large and in a particularly
inconvenient spot. To be honest, it was a bit of a surprise and things were not
looking too good at the beginning, but beyond the smoke and mirrors of the
lymphatic system, that cancer was all mouth and trousers and I needed to send
it packing.

It’s been a bit of a rough trip though and I am
compelled to recognise the efforts of all of the experts and professionals who
helped me along the way but in particular, I’m deeply grateful to Macmillan
Cancer Support‎ for keeping my mind in one piece – which is why I fundraise for
them when I can.

I’m a member of a band called Braver than Fiction.
The guys I am in the band with have been so patient whilst I stumbled about in
tumour land. They are helping to fundraise too – we’re all fundraising; come
along and fundraise with us. I can guarantee that at some point there will be
cake-related activity!
