Welcome the Kent Kilimanjaro Challenge Campaign 2021! These incredible students are taking on the challenge of a lifetime all whilst helping in the fight against meningitis and septicaemia.

Story

Hello peeps! Thank you for visiting my justgiving page. If you could take a minute to read about why I am doing this and donate whatever you can I would be very grateful. Together we can make a real contribution to the wonderful work of the Meningitis Research Foundation.

Meningitis affects more than 2.8 million people each year, killing more children under the age of 5 worldwide than malaria, tetanus and AIDS combined!  I have decided to do my part in making a difference in putting an end to this disease.

With the support of the foundation, this little potato will take on the challenge of a lifetime and conquer 'the world's tallest free-standing mountain' in June 2022. Climbing 5,885 meters at Mount Kilimanjaro combined with the inevitable altitude sickness, lack of sleep and fitness level of a loaf of bread, are guaranteed to make this the hardest mental and physical challenge I have ever undertaken.

Your donation will be contributing towards vaccinations, research and getting us a little bit closer to eradicating Meningitis by 2030. Please support me and the MRF by making a donation today. The more people that know about the Meningitis Research Foundation, the higher their impact, so please also spread the word by sharing my page with your friends and family.

Thank you for reading and watch out for fun posts and pics of me lugging myself up a mountain in September! 💜

Meningitis is deadly; killing and seriously disabling in hours. Small children and young adults are high risk, but all ages can be affected. Globally 1,000 people die daily. We fundraise to invest in research, campaign for vaccines, provide symptom information and support those already affected.
