The Secret suffering of a rape victim · 28 March 2015

Survivor Space (formerly OSARCC) is the only organisation providing non-statutory, accredited, specialist support to survivors of sexual violence in Oxfordshire.  We support survivors of all genders, aged 14 and above, who have experienced any form of sexual violence – at no cost to them.

Story

Now for the change to be  positive   to help others who find themselves in the awful situation.

As some of you know I have completed my climbing course and have spent a lot of time climbing and I have spent a lot of time falling off :-). I have conquered my fear of heights when I look back at the last year it seems quite insignificant really.

I want to say a huge thank you to rock solid climbing wall at oxford brookes for donating both the course and my time on the wall.

I want to thank my brilliant friends and family and wonderful strangers for supporting such a worthy cause.

I want to ask for all your help again to share spread the word donate get people talking about sexual violence. There are still people who think people should remain quiet and in the shadows. After this happened everything seemed darker and lonelier you feel invisible. Shame should be on the  perpetrators not the victims of sexual violence.

I have mostly been pleasantly surprised and humbled by people's response and want to honour that support.

Even if it helps 1 other person it's worth it.

So we will go on we will climb and hopefully make a difference to other people.

Many thanks

Detail of climb:

In a small group we hope to climb September 5-6th in Wales.
We will aim to climb 140m weather permitting. This will be by far the biggest climb so far and I'm unsure my nerves or limbs will take it. But the overwhelming support and knowledge of supporting such a great cause will push me up.
