Breast friends running club are raising money for the Breast Unit at Bath RUH by running the Exmoor trail race in June. We have been inspired by our friend Amy who was recently diagnosed with breast cancer, has had a mastectomy and is currently undergoing chemo.
We are also running in memory of our friend Fi who recently lost her incredibly brave fight with cancer.

Friends and family can feel pretty powerless to help their loved ones through this horrendous time and COVID has made an incredibly difficult situation even worse. We wanted to do something to show our support and raise money for one of the many organisations that had supported Amy throughout her treatment.
Amy is dealing with it in the way she deals with everything; Head on and with her unique brand of dark humour! You can read more about her story here https://itsnothormonal.co.uk
In September 2019 my world fell to pieces when at the age of 37 I was diagnosed with breast cancer.
Every step of the way the breast unit at the RUH have been with me, showing me unconditional support. From the minute I was diagnosed, to being there when I woke up from my mastectomy operation, and even now whilst I’m undergoing chemotherapy treatment.
The care they offer is second to none. There is always someone at the end of a phone or an email. They do such amazing work for so many people and will always be very close to my heart.
