Story

So on Saturday 8th July 2023, our team 'Breast Friends Forever' (consisting of Chloe Barry, Lauren Milburn, Hannah Coles, Sara Jackson & Serena Nolan) are taking part in Breast Cancer Now- Pink Ribbon Walk where we will be walking 20 miles across Derbyshire in memory of those we have loved and have lost, and to support those still fighting💖

In 2011, Chloe’s mum was diagnosed with breast cancer. A mastectomy & chemo tablet later, Sandra was given the all clear. In July 2022, Sandra was sadly diagnosed with secondary breast cancer which is not curable, with an estimate of 2-5 years. To help stop the spread Sandra is having chemotherapy in tablet form.

Back in 2012, Lauren’s Nanna Denise was diagnosed with breast cancer which led to her having a lumpectomy followed by a mastectomy.  After 5 years of a chemo tablet Denise was clear of the disease but unfortunately on 7th November 2019 we were shocked to find out that she had developed secondary breast cancer, which in time had spread to her bones and liver and sadly passed away peacefully on 10th December 2019.

We have all been affected by cancer in some way, shape or form and know it's the most heart-breaking thing for a loved one to go through. As a group, we want to try and raise as much money as possible for this fantastic cause, which has now become very close to our hearts.

Please donate anything you can, big or small. Anything received will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks so much for your support.

Chloe, Lauren, Hannah, Serena & Sara x
