Railway House sleepout · 2 December 2017

On 2nd December CHS employees & friends are planning a Sleep Out in the centre of Cambridge to raise awareness and money for Railway House which supports 16-25 year olds at risk of homelessness

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Railway House is a hostel for homeless 16-25 year olds in the centre of Cambridge. We have been providing housing and support there for 32 years and have achieved some amazing outcomes with young people  whose lives could have turned out very differently without our support. Sadly we have had a cut to our funding  so the service is threatened with closure. This will have a huge impact on young people who could face sleeping on the streets at a time when there are already far too many people sleeping in shop doorways in Cambridge. I really want to try to prevent this happening so have decided to take part in this sleep out and hopefully the money I raise will keep the doors of Railway House open for young people in housing need
