I'm fundraising for Action Cancer by running (hopefully!) the Belfast marathon on 5th May, and by taking part in a 6 day trek in Cambodia in November.

I'm paying the costs of this trip myself, including flights, accommodation & guides - that way, all your donations go to fund Action Cancer.

Action Cancer receive no government funding - so fund-raising is vital to help them provide detection and support services.

Their services include health promotion & awareness, counselling, breast screening, and the Big Bus which visits up to 235 regional areas throughout Northern Ireland each year.

£25 pays for a health check; £45 pays for a counselling session; and £80 pays for a mammogram. Out of every 1000 screenings, Action Cancer make an average of 6 cancer detections.
