Team Fire is going to win!! Meet the players from Team Fire and the Team Fire mascots!

Story

Gabriel-Shane was born 15 weeks premature along with his twin sister Maddison-Shane.  He weighed only 1lb 4oz and his sister was 1lb 2oz.  Sadly Maddison-Shane passed away a short time after she was born as she had a very serious heart condition and was too small to operate on.  Gabriel-Shane spent 4 months in the Neonatal unit and spent the first 8-9 weeks of his life on a ventilator.  When he was born, he was so premature that his eyes were still fused together and it was two weeks before he could open them.  He spent a lot of time at hospital for the first three years of his life and still attends a few clinics where they keep an eye on him.  Two of the clinics are Diet and Gastro are because he is allergic to dairy and soya and he doesn't really like solid food.  He had no solids for the first four years of his life.  Gabriel-Shane is much better at eating now and has been trying lots of new foods. Although Gabriel-Shane only has 60% lung function, he is still really active.  He loves swimming, hockey, skiing and football which is why he's excited to be involved in the Battle of the Badges.

Gabriel-Shane has been paired with Brian who is a Firefighter in the North Anderson Drive Fire Station in Aberdeen.  Brian can't wait to play in the Battle of the Badges and is looking forward to Gabriel-Shane cheering him on and walking him onto the pitch on the day.
