Thank you for visiting my Dundee Cyclathon Challenge page! One in four children and young people live in poverty in Scotland. For many, the issue is so acute that families have to make the heartbreaking decision each day as to whether it is more important to heat their house or sit down to eat. The STV Children's Appeal provides practical help like food and clothing, or creating opportunities for training and employment, or supplying social and emotional support to help them overcome their difficulties. I'm taking part in the Dundee Cyclathon Challenge that has been organised by the Claverhouse Rotary, so I can pedal to raise funds for these children to help, particularly right now during the Coronavirus pandemic where they risk being pushed deeper into poverty.
