I plan to cycle 500 kilometres over two weeks to help with this great fundraiser. I am taking on the Dundee Cyclathon Challenge in September to help raise funds for the STV Children's Appeal. 

Why? One in four children and young people live in poverty in Scotland. For many, the issue is so acute that some families have to make the heartbreaking decision each day as to whether it is more important to heat their home or sit down to eat. Funds from the STV Children's Appeal provides practical help like food and clothing, or create opportunities for training and employment, or supply social and emotional support to help affected young people overcome their difficulties.
