Cycle Vietnam · 17 March 2018

Every day in the UK, 99 people in their 20s, 30s and 40s are diagnosed with cancer. Trekstock provides movement, exercise and wellbeing support designed to help people in this age group stay active, connected and confident as they navigate life alongside cancer.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

A friends daughter was diagnosed with acute lymphatic leukemia aged 26. She discovered that although her treatment remained good, once over 25 young adult services cease. She was then in an older adult environment.

I am in my 75th year and following the loss of my wife in August 2015 who had had 2 strokes, then died from a heart attack, her carer, Aly aged 52 wanted a challenge, and asked if I would go with her. This I agreed to do, not quite realising what she had in mind!

Then a young trainer, Oliver, aged 27, from the gym overheard us talking and has joined us.

So we are 3 from the Isle of Wight.

We leave for Ho Chi Minh on 17th March 2018.

It then seemed sensible to me to try to raise monies for this worthwhile lesser known cause. In the process raising theTreckstock Profile.
