The stsCharity helps grateful patients, their friends and families give something back to their hospitals. With the generosity of donors and fundraisers the charity funds equipment and enhances hospital environments for patrients across South Tyneside, Sunderland and the North East.

Story

On Monday the 28th of September my mam passed away in Sunderland Royal Hospital. Since the day she got taken into hospital the care and the support she received was outstanding from the state of the art equipment in the intensive care unit all the way down to the support the nurse gave our family in her last hours from providing beds for us to stay with her during the last nights.

At the end of October/ November weather permitting I will cycling the coast to coast twice across 4 days. South Shields to Whitehaven and back. Covering 300 miles. I am doing this to raise funds for the trust so they can continue carrying out Exceptional work and maybe contribute to next equipment that is needed of some sort. As we all know  COVID has put a big strain on the NHS especially smaller hospitals.  I am hoping that the funds I raise will go towards new research and contribute towards new life saving equipment.

Thanks
