Story
The WWF is at the heart of global efforts to address the world’s most important environmental challenges. I have been supporting the WWF for many years and now I am asking you to join me in this important work.
The facts and the stats are grim: 85% of turtle deaths in the Western Indian Ocean are due to human activity, 55 elephants a day are killed for their tusks, there are just 4,000 snow leopards left in the wild (down by 1,000 in the last 16 years) and over 95% of black rhinos were lost to poaching in the 1970s and 1980s.
These are big problems requiring big solutions. The WWF have the scale to truly influence governments and other organisations to make ground-breaking decisions to protect vulnerable species and their environments in a long-term and sustainable way!
I'll be running the Royal Parks Half Marathon on October 14 along with many other runners who want to contribute to this effort.
Many thanks for your support.
Brian.
