Welcome to our dearest friends and relatives on our wedding donation page for The Racehorse Sanctuary.

We are so pleased that you are going to attend our wedding day and your presence will make it truly special. As you probably know, we have been together for twenty-five years and have lived in Graveley for nineteen of them where we have been successfully breeding racehorses.

Racehorses, four to five thousand of them, leave the racetrack every year. Some are covered in glory and some are not. Some are cared for, and unfortunately, some are not. All deserve a second chance and this is where The Racehorse Sanctuary comes in. It re-trains and re-homes them where possible and keeps those it cannot. Most can be re-trained as: show jumpers, dressage, hacks or companions. Thoroughbreds, without this special care and re-training, do not know that they are no longer required to dash out of the starting gates at 30 miles per hour!

The Sanctuary has an urgent wish list and needs: rugs, hay, basic equipment such as wheelbarrows and of course feed.

So, as we have the good fortune to have all we need in life - wonderful friends and relatives, a beautiful cottage and a lovely village to live in - we feel that we would like to give something back to the equines who are not so fortunate as our girls. We would therefore like to ask you not to buy any wedding gifts. Really what more do we need? However, we are asking you, our special friends and relatives to consider donating instead to this extra special cause to mark the occasion of our wedding.
