Story

Hello everyone!

I am looking to raise funds and awareness to contribute to Brain Tumour research alongside taking part in various endurance and fitness challenges to see how far I can go after recovering from Brain cancer treatment! I am hoping my story can motivate others in similar circumstances to get back on their feet and try to turn their experiences into something which could be of a benefit to others by telling their stories or fundraising towards vital research.

My story can be followed on Youtube where I will be documenting my training to complete Ironman UK in 2021 along with other challenges at

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCEd9yTr1ReF4epHZwRXkjzA
with the ultimate goal to try and earn a place in the age group world championships at Kona Hawaii one year. One thing my treatment has given me is more free time to pursue goals so lets put it to good use!

In 2018 I was diagnosed and received treatment for a grade 3 Astrocytic brain tumour which was aided in part to the 5-ALA dye or magic pink drink! Brain tumour research, funding and treatment sadly lacks behind many other areas of cancer research while killing more under 40's than any other form. Our goal of £2,740 represents the cost of 1 days worth of research at a centre of excellence which the charity fund to look into the questions behind why brain tumours occur and the methods by which they grow. Everytime we reach this amount we get another chance of that eureka moment.

Some of the basic questions which have been answered in other forms of cancer continue to elude those looking for a cure to brain cancer. Please join me on our journey at the link above and if you find anything entertaining or feel the cause worthwhile please consider donating.
