Story

Saturday 24th June, 1pm at Palatine Pool, Blackpool Aquatics are hosting our Annual Charity Water Polo Tournament in memory of Brian Walsh. We want to make this year's a good one as it'll be our 20th year of hosting this great tournament!

For those who are unaware of the tournament, here is a bit of background:-

The tournament started in 2003, being held in memory of a club legend Brian Walsh. Brian had been involved in club Swimming & Water Polo in Blackpool for decades. He represented his country, held various roles within the club and within the wider swimming & water polo family. for several decades up until he sadly passed away in 2003.

Each year, we invite several clubs from the Lancashire and wider North-west area to compete in a Water Polo tournament, with the aim of raising money for a charity. Each year a different club chooses the charity, this year's charity has been chosen by Southport and their choice was Marina Dalglish.

We will be hosting the tournament at Palatine Leisure Centre from 13:00-17:30 with an 'after event' with food and drinks at the Blackpool Light Craft Club on South Promenade immediately afterwards.

For those wishing to provide support we ask if anyone can donate a raffle prizes, no matter how big or small. We make a large chunk of the events' income from our raffle so receiving donations is hugely important to our event. If you can donate a prize, please arrange to give your donation to Sean, Paul or one of the coaches who can pass it on. If you want to come and watch the water polo or attend the event afterwards then please feel free to do so!!!

You can contact Sean on 07534093699 with any questions or wish to make any donations of money/raffle prizes etc. Also if you want to donate on here that's also fine, all proceeds go to the charity.
