Story
We want to do more to help those hardest hit by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Every month, the Bridges team will support a charity and undertake a related challenge we can do at home. Bridges Impact Foundation will match-fund.
In July and August, we are supporting the Pennine Domestic Abuse Partnership (PDAP):
They are raising money for their latest project which will help victims of domestic abuse seek help via their website Live Chat Function. The National Domestic Abuse helpline has seen a 25% increase in calls and online requests for help since the COVID-19 lockdown began and one of the challenges is that victims aren't able to contact support whilst the perpetrators are in the home. Thanks to PDAP’s new initiative, victims can use the website’s live chat to ask any question, at any time, in a way they feel comfortable and without the risk of being overheard. The project costs around £1,500 a month to run so we are challenging ourselves to raise enough to fund one month (or even two!) of this incredibly valuable service.
Thank you for your vital support in this time of crisis.
