St Margaret’s Hospice has been at the heart of Somerset’s community for over 40 years, delivering high quality, responsive and compassionate care to patients and their families facing a life-limiting illness.

Story

Hello sponsor! On August 6, I will be cycling 75 miles between Taunton and Yeovil (and back again, why not?) in memory of my lovely aunt, Lindy Batchelor, who lost her fight against cancer on July 2.

My super-cyclist brother Simon is also taking part, making it all look nice and easy as he nips up all the big hills and waits for me to catch up.

We'll be raising money for St Margaret's Hospice, Taunton, where our clever mum works her magic as a lymphodaema specialist.

It's sobering to think that without fundraising support these amazing services wouldn't exist - services most of us will need in one form or other at some point in our lives. It's not just palliative care, but respite for families and much more besides.

So please give what you can... the more you donate the more it'll take my mind off those hills...
