In memory of Hugh Allen

Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund is the only national charity dedicated solely to beating pancreatic cancer through research. Survival rates are low, so new research is vital. In the past, this cancer received little attention. With your help, we can change this so more people beat pancreatic cancer.

Story

In September 2008 I am taking part in a 10 day trek in the Lazes region of Peru, in order to raise funds for the Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund.  I am doing this in memory of Hughie my husband, who died in February 2004.

The trek will involve 5 days of intensive trekking, plus 3 nights camping at altitude – an experience I shall, no doubt, find very challenging!

I hope you will find it possible to sponsor me and to be assured that the money raised will go to a very deserving charity.  It would be good to know that one day it will be possible to find an early diagnosis for this terrible disease.  The Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund are doing all they can to aid much needed medical research.
