This fall I am going to be a Jesuit Volunteer (JV) at Joseph's House. At Joseph's House I will be a Community Care Aide working with formerly homeless men and women who have HIV/AIDS. I am very excited to be working at Joseph's House as I have learned a lot about HIV/AIDS in my Public Health classes and the difficulties that people who are experiencing homelessness face through my Sociology courses. According to their mission statement, "At Joseph's House, each person is loved and cared for as family." I cannot wait to be a part of this extended family and learn to love and care for others in so many new ways.
