Bridlington RNLI Virtual Open DaySat 25thJuly 2020 · 25 July 2020
We hope you and your families are keeping safe and well. Life has been difficult and challenging for us all, and our local lifeboat community in Bridlington is no exception.
While most of the country shelters at home, our crew is still on call 24/7. We're ready to launch at a moment's notice. The RNLI is an essential emergency service and our crew and station volunteers are key workers. So, regardless of how the lockdown has affected us personally, we're still responding to emergencies.
The health crisis has hit our income hard. As our service continues, fundraising activities have stopped. There are no more coffee mornings and no station open days. Our shops have brought down their shutters for the time being. The funds we count on to power our lifesaving service have gone down. That's why we need you to stand with us in these uncertain times, so we can keep everyone safe.
By making a donation to Bridlington RNLI, you can help us weather the summer storm. We still need crew kit and fuel to launch our lifeboats. We need the resources to maintain and repair our fleet of lifesaving craft and keep our stations open.
We don't know how much longer we'll face a lockdown. But we do know that with restrictions being lifted, people are flocking to the coast. We'll be facing a summer storm of activity, and we need to be ready to protect everyone.
Even though we're experiencing some of the toughest times our countries have ever faced, RNLI Lifeboat crews like ours are still ready and willing to save lives. It's your support and kindness that powers us - and your generosity that makes sure we can keep coming to the rescue.
Thank you
