Sadly, we lost our daughter, Brielle, at 22 weeks gestation.  We stayed at the Twinkling Stars Suite at William Harvey Hospital.  This is a unit for bereaved parents who have suffered miscarriages and stillborn births.  It provided us a space away from the maternity ward, to spend time with Brielle while we are still close to the medical team, but away from the families who are celebrating the birth of a baby.

I'm truly thankful that this suite is available for us and we have spent a night with Brielle; to have a memory box that have her footprints, her photographs and birth certificate in it; not to mention all the help and support from the wonderful midwifes and staffs at the hospital.

Sadly, throughout the country, more than 100 babies die each week before, during or soon after birth. The grief experienced by the women and their families is profound and this is why the bereavement suite is so important.

We would like to raise some money to keep this great service running for future parents in this terrible situation.  We learnt that the room where bereavement counselling takes place needs a refresh.  We are hoping anything we raise can help funding the current suite and the transformation of the counselling room.
