Durnford House is raising money for The Clock Tower Sanctuary

The Brightathlon · 19 March 2021

The Clock Tower Sanctuary is the only day centre service for young people experiencing homelessness in Brighton and Hove. We provide practical support as well as information, advice and guidance to help young people break away from homelessness and move towards a brighter future.

Story

Following the success of LETJOG 2020, Durnford boys are taking part in a virtual biathlon (running/cycling) to collectively journey the 6000km from Brighton (UK) to Brighton (USA).

The boys are also taking part in the Durnford Masterchef, where they will be tasked to cook a range of different recipes for their household members who will then grade them on the quality of the meal.

During this third lockdown, we are all aware of the strain that the pandemic has had on many of our physical and/or emotional wellbeings, especially on those less fortunate in the community. In light of this, we are aiming to raise £6000 and split it evenly between local charities: The Clock Tower Sanctuary - who help young homeless people around Brighton - and the Rockinghorse Charity who help who support children at the County Hospital.

Donations on this page will go to The Clock Tower Sanctuary. If you would like to donate to The Rockinghorse Children's Charity visit this page: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/brightathlonrh
