Brighton Marathon 2025

Jo Kodaka is raising money for PROSTATE CANCER UK

Brighton Marathon 2025 · 6 April 2025 ·

Prostate Cancer UK has a simple ambition - to stop men dying from prostate cancer. Through shifting the science over the next 10 years to focus on radical improvements in diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and support, we will stop prostate cancer being a killer.

Story

On 6th April 2025, I’ll be taking on the Brighton Marathon, all in support of Prostate Cancer UK. This will be my first ever marathon and I’m buzzing for the challenge! Having ran a half-marathon fundraiser for Ukraine back in June 2023, I am now preparing myself for the full monty. As an intermediate runner I’ll be pushing my limits but running a marathon is something I have wanted to achieve for many years.

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer among men in the UK, with around 1 in 8 men receiving a diagnosis in their lifetime and more than 50,000 new cases reported each year. Prostate Cancer UK is at the forefront of the fight against this disease, funding research, raising awareness, and offering vital support to men and their families. Any support, whether it’s a donation, a cheer, or just a motivational message, will mean the world to me. Thank you!!
